Defence Works

Detailed in this section are the anti-invasion defence works constructed by Home Forces. Some pages on the developement of Field Engineering are given from the end of the First War to the BEF in France to give some context to Field Engineering for Home Defence.The rest of the sections concentrate on Defence Works under taken by Home Forces in Suffolk. Included are flame obstacles or weapons, as they were largely static and often a key part of a road block obstacle.
